Starting in the fall of 2025, EcoWisdom will be offering innovative on- demand and live online interactive courses. The focus will be on offering nature therapy (shinrin yoku/forest bathing) programs for groups or individuals. EcoWisdom emphasizes ways to design and facilitate nature therapy in a manner that is accessible and inclusive for seniors and people
living with disability, chronic illness, anxiety, pain, or fatigue.
Course modules are taught by an expert team of EcoWisdom-certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guides who have professional backgrounds in: psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, disability studies, psychotherapy, massage therapy, social work, community health, peer support, environmental science, forest medicine research, nutrition, and/or education. Most of our team members are also “experts by experience.” Specifically, they are also seniors, disabled or chronically ill themselves. EcoWisdom trainers will share their personal and professional experiences of receiving and offering guided nature therapy in a manner that is respectful, empowering, healing, and transformative!
We are very excited to offer our first course on Accessible Nature-Based Mindfulness this fall, designed for professionals looking for continuing education as well as caregivers and peer support providers.
